Domestication

As Man domesticated;
that, the domestication of his brothers and sisters
of the animal kingdom;
the domestication of animal;
was the subjugation, of Man;
that, indeed subjugation through domestication;
that, man tamed more than just beast;
that, Civilization was the subjugation
of the Manimal;
that, as our primate ancestors huddled together
in caves;
likewise, Man has embraced his civilization;
warmth, comfort, safety, security;
that, Man naively and hubristically
believes himself invulnerable to the follies
and patterns in which the lower animals
are susceptible;
that, while man may have tamed beasts;
he did so by taming the most ferocious of them all;
himself.
Civilization remains the subjugation of Man;
that, Man clings to his ancient mentality;
fearful of the freedom granted him so long ago;
fearful of his own shadow;
fearful of his own self;
fearful to be alone;
fearful of the quiet;
fearful to be insignificant;
fearful to be forgotten;
fearful to be nothing;
that, Man loses himself in the cultural fogs thickly
enveloping his Civilizations;
that, this has happened before.
Man has yet to acknowledge;
Man has yet to accept;
the true potential of his evolved freedom.
