Arsenal are reportedly in discussions with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a deal for Portuguese playmaker, Ruben Neves who has been also a transfer target for Manchester United.
The 24-year-old has played 176 games for Wolves since arriving from Porto back in 2017, including 40 outings in all competitions during the 2020-21 season.
The Portugal international still has three years left before his deal expires at Molineux, however, he is expected to be sold during this summer’s transfer window and top teams from Premier League are monitoring his situation.
Arsenal have emerged as the frontrunners for the midfielder, with a recent report claiming that the North London giants had already offered him a five-year contract to make the move to the Emirates Stadium.
According to Record, Mikel Arteta’s side are now officially in talks with Wolves and are hopeful of finalising the deal before the start of the 2021/22 season.
