Based in Chicago, the South Shore Commission, had a brief run as one of the leading dance chart hit makers in the mid-1970's. Their biggest hit was Free Man but their version of the Alan Felder and Norman Harris written classic, We're On The Right Track, which was also released on Blue Magic at the same time, is also one of the finest disco records of the 1970's. We're On The Right Track, peaked at #33 on the Cash Box chart, week ending 12/27/75. The B-side, I'd Rather Switch Than Fight, finishes up with a spirited put down by lead vocalist, Sheryl Henry, toward her no good man!
