British companies are being bought up on a large scale – Outside Views
The vision of Boris Johnson's government is called “Global Britain” - a Great Britain that will network with the whole world after Brexit instead of primarily with Europe and the EU. In the corporate world, however, it doesn't work the way Johnson probably intended: British firms are becoming the preferred target of overseas buyers, often from the private equity sector. The takeovers are increasing, from the armaments industry to the food trade. That puts the country's open-minded attitude to the test.
Brexit happened on January 31st 2020 when the United Kingdom formally left the institutions of the European Union. And I give you some outside views on it.
