Gas Range Won't Start? - Top 5 reasons and EASY DIY instructions to get your Gas Range back to working order.
Reason #1 - Oven Igniter: The oven burner igniter opens the valve to allow gas to flow in and then ignite the gas to fuel and heat the appliance. Igniters are small, delicate parts that come in flat or round styles. When the range is switched on, the appropriate igniter will draw current and start to glow from the heat. This will also open the valve and allow gas to come out, creating the lighting process in the oven.

Reason #2 - Spark Module: The spark module is connected to the igniter to create the spark that lights the gas and ignites the burner. This is a plastic body with terminals for incoming and outgoing power. They're either located in the console or the rear access panel. If the spark module fails, it will not allow the gas to spark and create flame so that it generates heat.
Reason #3 - Top Burner Igniter: Another cause of the gas range not working is if the top igniter is out and the burners on the stovetop will not light. You can check the igniter to make sure that it is clean and to ensure that the gas lines going to the stovetop aren’t blocked or filled with debris. Clean the pilot hole and inspect for visual signs of damage.
Reason #4 - Oven Temperature Sensor: If your gas range has an electronic control system, you likely have a temperature sensor that is responsible for regulating the temperature within the oven. The sensor could become faulty or damaged over time, creating a situation where the range or oven will not start.
Reason #5 - Oven Control Board: Most modern ovens have an electronic control board that helps control the functions of the oven, including the safety valve, the bake and broil elements, the thermostat and temperature sensors, igniters, and more. There are several different ways the control board could fail that would result in the oven not starting.
