Butter is the only capybara who doesn't seem to understand the rules of herd behaviour. Because of this Hinase frequently chases her, no doubt hoping that one day Butter will understand and become sensitive to Hinase's strategy. Butter is the only capybara who tries to share Hinase's food and wants to roll in the mud next to Hinase, despite Hinase's feelings about her. One of the keepers suggested that Butter was the least intelligent capybara in the herd.
