Twenty of those have been as a Physician Assistant/Associate and health educator. U.S. News and World Report ranked the PA profession as "the number one" in the U.S.
Average salary is $112, 000 and program time is approximately 26 months. There are about 150,000 licensed PAs in the U.S. and 254 PA schools. Requirements: 4 yr. bachelor's degree, GRE, PA-CAT, 2,000 direct-patient-contact-hours, personal statement, three recommendation letters.
