How to bias your LATS in different back exercises

So your lats are responsible for shoulder adduction and extension which is when you move your upper arm in towards your body and lower it behind you. They are not responsible for scapular retraction, which means squeezing your shoulder blades together is not a function of the lats. So in order to bias the lats, you want your elbows tucked in close to your body rather than flared out, and u wanna think of squeezing your armpits and driving your elbows towards your hips without arching your back and retracting your scapula.

I hope that helps and subscribe for more lifting tips! #Gym #Shorts
