In today’s video, I share 2 writing exercises to help you develop a daily writing routine that works for you. These writing prompts will help you make sure that you write regularly and set aside sacred time to write!
Today, I was inspired after reading an interview in the latest Paris Review with British writer Penelope Lively. When asked what her writing day looks like, her response made it evident that her time to write is regular, scheduled, and dedicated.
So tell me, what does your writing day look like?
Most of the time, when I ask my clients what their daily writing routine looks like, I don’t get a complete response. Some writers feel humiliated or ashamed to even speak about it. A lot of times, I also just get a sense that they don't know.
How can we then create the regularity and the dedication around our time to write, such that we know what our writing day looks like and we can talk about our writing routine with pride?
As writers, if we don’t make sacred time to write, chances are that our daily writing routine will be interrupted or non-existent.
Watch the whole video to join me in the writing exercises and writing prompts that I have prepared, so we can explore and reflect on our daily writing routines together.
