Waukesha Mayor Shawn Reilly says his heart goes out to all those people injured and affected after an SUV ploughed through a Christmas parade in the city.
Dozens of people have been injured and taken to hospital as a result of what Mr Reilly described as a "senseless act" at the Christmas parade.
"My heart goes out to all those affected by this senseless act," he said.
"My heart goes out to those injured, as well as to their families.
"My heart goes out to those who are witness to these events.
"My heart goes out to those who lost a loved one tonight."
