Cool New Technique and the Most Incredible Wood Grain Ever - Woodturning

I have just learned the coolest new woodturning technique ever and most of the work can be done with a simple rasp. I have been procrastinating for several months to try this new technique, because it is very advanced. It requires skills, accuracy, lots of sanding and easy to mess it up. If all of these was not scary enough the only material that is large enough is to make this piece, happen to be the most expensive material that I have in the shop.

I found a completely rotten log and stabilized it with epoxy resin. It was expensive and time consuming, but this technique gave me the most incredible colors and wood grain. At the end I got something that I have never even dare to dream of. :)
