Cebu-Cordova Link Express is an iconic, most artistically designed and the Longest Bridge constructed in the Philippines.
A major infrastructure project and soon to become part of Cebu’s iconic landmarks, the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLex). A monumental project that makes use of the latest engineering feats, the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway is visualized as becoming one of the tourist attractions in the Visayas region.
The artistically designed CCLEX will have two lanes in each direction “and on and off’ ramps connecting the main bridge to the Cebu South Coastal Road, as well as a viaduct that levels down to a causeway in Cordova. Spanning the waters, between mainland Cebu and Mactan Island. Is the Cebu Cordova Link Express. The CCLEX will improved access between Cebu and Cordova relieving traffic between the two existing bridges, and ushering vibrant possibilities, for business tourism and real estate.
Secretary Villar from the Department of Public works and Highways, inspected the construction of Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway on July 2021, who assures interconnection with Cebu Mactan national highway network.
As of June 30, 2021, construction of the 8.5-kilometer Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway project has already reached 80 percent overall completion rate.
The 30-billion-peso toll bridge, which will be substantially completed by the end of 2021, will use a full electronic toll system when it opens to motorists in the first quarter of 2022. This will enable faster traffic flow and seamless travel.
As of June, only 92 meters were left before the gap of the 390-meter main bridge deck, would be fully closed. The 44 out of 56 stay cables were already installed.
