'Important' that people working in the disability sector get the COVID-19 jab

Lawyer and founder of Leor Andrea Christie-David says it is “important” that people working in the disability sector get vaccinated in order to protect the vulnerable people they work with.

Ms Christie-David founded Leor, an in-home early childhood education and disability support service on the NDIS.

“I think it’s important that people supporting those with compromised immune systems or anybody who’s vulnerable in the community right now take steps to protect those people.

Ms Christie-Davis says it is good that providers will “encourage” their staff to be vaccinated, however acknowledges it is “individual choice”, and can’t be enforced.
