A discussion on women’s development in Singapore needs to take into account global developments, our history, the socio-economic conditions we are in and the values and aspirations of our society.
Between the passing of the Women’s Charter in 1961 to today, much has been done to push for change so that women can live to their fullest potential. In Parliament today, MOS Sun Xueling emphasised that the PAP Government’s efforts to chart the next lap forward for women’s progress will continue to be ‘consistent and unwavering’.
We hear your aspirations and hopes for women in Singapore, and continue to welcome feedback and ideas. We welcome you onboard our efforts. Together, let’s build upon this foundation to make a difference for the future of every Singaporean woman.
