![Apple ][e ready to surf the net](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/aMQO1bD3rL8/hqdefault.jpg)
This is a fun project. Everything is reversible. I don’t pretend to disturb or molest this beautiful machine
I know there are other options such as a ESP8266 and a zimodem firmware but they also involve a serial card.
You can purchase the Uthernet II here (I am not attached or affiliated in any way) http://a2retrosystems.com/products.htm
The router I used is a Gl.Inet AR150 but any router may work actually. It only needs to be feed at 5 or 12V (PSU voltage options) otherwise you may adapt the voltage using a DC converter.
You can get the II Connect software here https://archive.org/details/ii-connect
The Ip65 contains the telnet software I used https://github.com/cc65/ip65/releases
Contiki can be downloaded here http://a2retrosystems.com/Contiki.htm
Instructions on how to setup the II Connect software:
With ][ CONNECWith ][ CONNECT you can use your Apple II for Network, Works or Smart Estate tasks. ][ CONNECT works with all Apple IIe with an Uthernet Card.
1. To this disk
The disk contains two files that you can/ have to modify for your use. IFTTT.KEY is the file where you have to input your IFTTT key (later explained in this manual).
ETHERNET.SLOT is the file where you have to tell your Apple II in which slot you have placed the Uthernet card (if you choose slot 5 you won't have to modify the file).
2. The www.ifttt.com service
Your Apple II will connect via the Uthernet Card to the IFTTT server and will controll the action. Most services explain theirselves, as tweet is twitter. For the smart estate functions you will have to use the Meross/SwitchBot products as they have a very good IFTTT service.
