Australia should be 'studying' overseas jurisdictions and 'using it to inform our progress'

The Australian's Health Editor Natasha Robinson says Australia should be analysing other countries on their reopening and using it to “inform our progress”.

New South Wales is closing in on the 80 per cent double dose target after reaching 70 per cent last week and coming out of lockdown on Monday, with fully vaccinated residents enjoying freedoms.

“I think we want to follow the example of somewhere like Norway who’s got very high vaccination rates,” Ms Robinson told Sky News Australia.

“Interestingly Norway has seen case numbers continue to drop and that’s quite substantially.

“So, I think Australia should be studying what’s going on in some of these overseas jurisdictions and using it to inform our progress as our case numbers inevitably do start to rise.”
